Must Visit: Sabor a Peru in the Heights
Living in Jersey City, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring diverse and international cuisine. As example, we have Sabor a Peru, an excellent Peruvian eatery in the Heights. The extensive menu includes the Chinese influences in the cuisine as a result of a population of Chinese people emigrating to Peru in the 19th Century.
When discussing what could be considered strictly or mostly Peruvian cuisine, the first food that comes to mind is fresh seafood, and Sabor a Peru does not disappoint with their excellent Ceviche. When we think of dishes that are more of a cultural blend, our first thought is their Lomo Saltado, a beef stir fry with onions, tomatoes, soy sauce and a side of fries.
The menu at Sabor a Peru is extensive and portions are generous. They are BYOB, open 7 days a week from 11am to 10pm with the exception of Friday and Saturdays, when they are open until 11pm.
