A Local Gem in Hamilton Park

If you are ever looking for the perfect neighborhood corner bar, look no further than Ed & Mary’s. Located on an otherwise completely residential corner of Hamilton Park, Ed & Mary’s is not only welcome but a completely integrated part of the neighborhood. For one, the owners Ed and Mary are wonderful people – always willing to lend space and a hand for community events. The staff is super friendly, good-humored and welcoming. Nowhere was this more evident than during a recent rollicking Trivia Night. It is held every other Wednesday night and all proceeds raised are matched by the bar and then donated to charity. They also host Drag Queen Bingo and Karaoke nights on Tuesdays and Thursdays respectively.  The cocktails are excellent (beware of their innocuous seeming Cosmopolitans which go down way too smoothly).  We also love the Forget Me Not – a refreshing mix of gin, lemon, elderflower and grapefruit. They have an extensive list of beers and ciders as you would expect of a neighborhood bar. To that, their bar food is perfect. Wings, chicken tenders, fries and poppers to burgers, chicken sandwiches and salads. It’s the kind of true-blue, everyone-is-welcome place that always guarantees a nice time. Looking forward to Spring when the outdoor seating will once again be beckoning us to sit back, relax and stay awhile.
