Eat, Drink and be Merry at Ikos
Ikos opened late last year with a lot of panache. Located on the corner of Steuben St. and Marin Boulevard downtown, it is many things – a great place to drink, eat and party. Ikos is brought to us by the Black Diamond Hospitality Group, the team behind the fast-casual Greek eatery TROS on Bergen Ave.
When you enter Ikos, you first encounter the beautifully lit, long and narrow cocktail bar with expertly-made and creative drinks that then opens into a bustling dining room serving an extensive menu of Greek-Mediterranean food courtesy of Executive Chef Davide Zucca, whose background includes London’s acclaimed Greek restaurant Milos. The menu features a large raw bar with crudo and tartare, as well as cooked seafood starters like calamari, served grilled, fried, or gemisto (stuffed with cheese). Lamb, seafood and vegetarian pastas, salads, Greek sides, steak, and chicken entrees round out the offerings, making it easy to linger over multiple courses.
On weekends, Ikos transforms into a lively lounge. Come 10 p.m., the lights dim while the music turns up, and the crowd comes together for a spirited late-night vibe, all wrapped in warm Greek hospitality. Lunch service and a party- themed brunch are slated to open this Spring.
