Milkshake Factory Comes to Jersey City

Sweet news, JC. Milkshake Factory has officially taken over the former Cookies ‘N Cream spot at 177 Newark Ave on the Pedestrian Plaza. This national chain with scrappy family origins is expanding into New Jersey with three new locations. JC gets the first scoop.

The menu has something for every kind of sweet tooth — from classic handspun shakes to Signature Creations like Chocolate Dipped Strawberry and Campfire S’mores, plus Gourmet Shakes such as Peanut Butter Brownie and Mint Cookies and Cream (cool mint ice cream, semisweet chocolate chips, and cookies-and-cream crumbles).

Milkshake Factory also offers non-dairy ice creams, molten chocolate cups, over-the-top sundaes, and the timeless Root Beer Float made with their homemade vanilla ice cream. Their motto says it all: “Treat yourself to the simple joys in life.” This is a family-owned business with roots as far back as 1914, when they started their hand-made chocolate business.
