Cheech’s an Instant Hit in Hamilton Park

After some initial delays, Cheech’s Bagels is up and running in downtown Hamilton Park. The neighborhood was highly anticipating this shop as the regular out-the-door lines will attest to. The bagels are hand-rolled each morning and come in every flavor imaginable including a gluten-free option. There are a range of cream cheeses (including two vegan ones) and also a bevy of breakfast egg sandwiches with your choice of Taylor Ham, bacon or sausage. Hungover and/or deliriously hungry? Try out a bagel with eggs, potatoes and peppers (with a side of their scrumptious hash browns if you want to go all out). They also have a Lox bagel with cucumbers, capers, red onion, dill and chopped lox.

Come lunchtime, there are some super-tasty and filling selections like the Clubhouse – turkey, bacon, arugula, tomato and pesto mayo, and the Baby Luc- tuna, olive, onion, lemon, arugula and roasted peppers. The Breaded Chicken Caesar can be served as a standalone salad or on a bagel and is yummy either way.

Cheech’s is also a fine destination for coffee. The interior is lovely with comfy green banquette seating and vintage-inspired gallery walls, as well as two outdoor tables that go fast.

Cheech’s hours are Monday-Friday from 6am to 4pm and 7am-3pm on weekends.
