That’s a direct quote from Angela, and her compassionate leadership as a self-titled Carepreneur and Assemblywoman for the 31st Legislative District in NJ is living proof of its truth.
The Assemblywoman is the CEO and Founder of AngelaCARES, a non-profit devoted to improving the quality of life throughout the generations. With her team of staff and volunteers, Angela runs multiple year-round programs to empower and educate JC youth and provides extensive services and advocacy for seniors and their caregivers. In December, AngelaCARES’ compassion for the community heads into overdrive with senior parties, toy collections, blanket drives, and adopting families in need of assistance. The organization also runs a gently-used clothing drive each week on Thursdays, a great place to drop off your retired outfits.
Since taking office in 2016, Angela has been a prolific and passionate legislator, sponsoring bills that reflect her commitment to improving the quality of life for children, seniors and residents throughout New Jersey. The many bills that Angela has been the Primary Sponsor of include ones to establish an Autism Education Council, to teach financial literacy in public schools, to enable time off for employees to attend events related to their children’s education, to increase penalties for identity theft when a senior or veteran is the victim, and to providing state aid for select adult education programs.
Yes, there is collective unease, to put it mildly, about the divisive state of national politics. The great news is that there is so much good happening on the local level, and we are lucky to be represented by such a strong, caring and effective leader. Power to the people, and to Assemblywoman McKnight!
