JC fans of gelato, rejoice! Italy’s Gelato Festival World Masters worldwide competition is coming back to America for the second year, and the first U.S. stop is here!

Since opening in McGinley Square this March, Crema has quickly become a neighborhood staple for families, freelancers, and other residents looking for locally sourced, super high-quality ice cream, coffee, baked goods and artisan toasts.

The 5th Annual Jersey City 4th of July Festival looks to be the most ambitious, amazing one yet! The festivities are set to take place from 12 pm to 10pm along the Exchange Place waterfront. A close friend of Darden’s for over a decade, Paulus Hook’s Stephanie Daniels is the Creative Director of Jersey City Television (JCTV) and heads up Film JC, the City’s film commission. Prior to joining JCTV, Stephanie enjoyed a long, storied career in broadcast television, winning an Emmy for her production work at Channel 9. 

Kristin J. DeAngelis and her husband Matt Schmidt opened Bowers St. Gallery in the Heights 18 months ago, while she was working 60 days a week at her day job in marketing.  6 months ago, she audaciously took the plunge and now devotes herself fulltime to her multiple creative passions – teaching, promoting other artists, and creating her own work.

Candice is first and foremost a friend but also a client – The Moorefield Group of Keller William JC sold Candice’s Morris St. apartment in 2017. Working with our current TMG clients has kept Darden’s schedule at an exciting, breakneck pace as well, so it was a real treat for the two to meet up recently over another cup of coffee.

Robyn is the owner of the beloved downtown clothing and shoe store Morlees, a family owned business started by her father and uncle over 53 years ago. A mom of two, Robyn is an accomplished attorney, active in local advocacy, education and politics, and a woman with a singularly unique perspective of life in Jersey City.
