Big Lines, Huge Tastes at New Filipino Bakery

If you are looking to sample the baked treats at Panaderya Salvaje, get in line. Literally. And get there early, because they usually sell out hours before the official closing time. This small batch Filipino bakery is open Thursday and Friday from 7am and Saturday and Sunday from 8am until they sell out, which can happen as early as 11am.

Why the mania for this particular bakery, which opened in late August? Well, the very Instagramable treats also happen to be very delicious. These sweet and savory delicacies are so popular that a limit of 2 per customer was initiated early on. The enormous gooey Tablea Brownies. The Ube Latte croissants, stuffed with this incredible coffee custard. The sublime Olive Oil Loaf, which is made with the native Filipino white flowered citrus plant Calamansi.

The Dinakdakan Pot Pie and Tocino and Cheese, both of which have succulent pork belly as the main component. Breads, coffees, a rotating menu of treats we have never experienced and now don’t want to live without. Panyadera Salvaje is a cultural and culinary experience to treasure and like many many others, we are here for it! 9 Erie St. @panaderyasalvaje
