Holy Burger Comes to JC
Holy cow has this chain expanded fast! The first Holy Cow – a Halal burger joint with an emphasis on ethically sourced burgers – opened in the Lower East Side in 2018. Since then, they have opened multiple locations across Manhattan, Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn and New Jersey. Their JC location – which goes by the moniker Holy Burger - opened earlier this Spring on Varick St. downtown. It is a go-to if you are looking for the ultimate comfort food. The burgers are smothered in their Holy Sauce on a tasty brioche bun with hot and salty fries on the side.
For vegans and vegetarians, Holy Burger uses Impossible Burgers and has a vegan cheese option as well. Note: we have had their Impossible Burger, and it is super-satisfying. But back to the meat – the animals are fed a high-quality diet to elicit the best taste and come from Hal&Al, the “highest grade humanely hand-slaughtered meat company.”
Holy Burger also offers other dishes like a NYC Cheesesteak made with shaved premium Ribeye, chicken or beef sliders, and deli-style turkey or roast beef heroes. 356 Varick St. @holyburgernyc
