Carol Ann’s Comes to the Heights

There is a sweet new place to dine in the Heights. Chef and Owner Andrew named Carol Ann’s Table after his grandmother and a lovely feeling of familial warmth and comfort infuses his low-key spot. Her namesake Burger is served with a sweet tomato jam, pickled onions, lettuce and a jalapeno aioli on a brioche bun with fries. The menu is short and sweet, full of familiar favorite foods done exceptionally well. Starters include  roasted wings, spicy shrimp, rib-eye steak, roasted chicken, and a really special Short Rib Ragu tossed with parpadelle in tomato and basil sauce. Vegans will do just fine with the mushroom tostada to start and a vegan chorizo “steak” as a main, served with spinach and a creamy coconut polenta.

The Brunch menu is so good too. Chicken and Waffles, Spicy Shrimp and Grits Carol’s Omelet (feta, onions, peppers and tomato), Blueberry Pancakes with Bourbon Maple Syrup, fluffy biscuits and bacon on the side and so much more.

Carol Ann’s Table is currently open for Brunch Friday – Sunday from 10 am – 3pm and Dinner Thursday – Sunday from 5pm – 9:30pm. Look for hours to expand in the coming months. 333 Palisade Ave. @carolannstablenj
